The Florida Department of Transportation reports that eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) from Gore Street to South Street is scheduled to close multiple times in the month of March.

These nightly closures will occur from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on March 11-15. Eastbound I-4 from Gore Street to South Street will also be closing at 11 p.m. on March 28-30 and reopening the following mornings by 5:00 a.m. These closures are necessary for bridge work at the I-4 and State Road (S.R.) 408 interchange.

The recommended detour around this eastbound I-4 closure is to exit at South Street (Exit 82B), travel north on Garland Avenue and reenter eastbound I-4 at the ramp located after the Amelia Street intersection.

In addition, the eastbound S.R. 408 exit ramp to eastbound I-4 will be closed in the same time range during the eastbound I-4 closures. The suggested detour for motorists on eastbound S.R. 408 is to exit at Orange Avenue (Exit 10C) and take Orange Avenue, Rosalind Avenue and Magnolia Avenue to enter eastbound I-4 near Lake Ivanhoe.

Modifications or extensions to these schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
