The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that, beginning at 9:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, the eastbound I-4 ramps (entrance and exit) at Branch Forbes Road will close until 5:00 a.m., Monday, July 15, weather permitting.
Eastbound I-4 motorists will have to exit the interstate using Exit 19, proceed north onto Thonotosassa Road (CR 582), re-enter the interstate using the westbound I-4 entrance ramp, and continue west toward the Branch Forbes Road exit.
Motorists needing to access eastbound I-4 will have to turn east onto Hillsborough Avenue (US 92), turn north onto Thonotosassa Road, and proceed toward the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp.
Electronic message boards and signage will assist motorists traveling through the area. Drivers should use caution while driving through each work zone and remain alert for construction workers.
These temporary ramp closures are part of the I-4 repaving project from east of McIntosh Road to County Line Road in Hillsborough County.
