Florida: I-4, I-95 in Volusia Getting $373M in Work

DELAND — State transportation officials say the $134 million widening of Interstate 4 between DeLand and Daytona Beach should be completed by the end of 2015 as they prepare to start a $239 million project later this year for Interstate 95.

Workers began widening I-4 from four to six lanes between State Road 44 and Daytona Beach in 2012 and were initially set to be finished late this year or early next year. But the completion date was pushed back due to weather delays and the construction of temporary paved shoulders…
