The Florida Department of Transportation is reporting the following detours and lane closures on Interstate 4 from May 14 Thru 22:
– Overnight detour scheduled for I-4 eastbound (EB) between SR 44 and I-95 on Thursday (5/14/15) from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Eastbound (EB) traffic will be detoured at the US 92 ramp and directed to eastbound (EB) US 92 to I-95.
– Thursday (5/14/15) — Nighttime detour of I-4 eastbound (EB) motorists at the US 92 ramp. Detour will direct motorists to eastbound (EB) US 92 to I-95 between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
– Sunday (5/17/15) through Thursday (5/21/15) — Nighttime (8 p.m.-6 a.m.) eastbound (EB) and westbound (WB) lane closures as needed for MOT work.
– Monday (5/18/15) and Friday (5/22/15) — Daytime (7 a.m.-5 p.m) I-4 eastbound (EB) and westbound (WB) outside shoulder closures from SR 44 to I-95.
Motorists should be aware of trucks entering and exiting the highway from the median and outside shoulders.
Motorists should be aware of traffic shifts on I-4 near SR 44 at ramp to US-92, and just west of I-95.
This project consists of widening I-4 (SR 400) to 6 lanes from east of SR 44 to west of I-95, and reconfiguration of the I-4 and US 92 Interchange. The existing left hand exit from eastbound I-4 to US 92 will be changed to a right hand exit. Project also includes 3 animal crossings.
