I-4 Ramp Closures, Detours in Downtown Orlando Area Scheduled Through October

The Florida Department of Transportation reports that nightly and continuous closures associated with I-4 construction will be necessary in the downtown Orlando area, spanning from Orange Blossom Trail (U.S. 441/17-92) and Colonial Drive (State Road 50). Work will include the use of work zone lighting, and noise and vibration are anticipated at night.

The following closures are scheduled to take place through October:

  • Periodic nighttime and potential daytime closures of Parramore Avenue under State Road (S.R.) 408 are likely to occur in 2021 to accommodate bridge work.
  • Washington Street under I-4 is scheduled to close nightly between 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Through October 27.
  • The eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from South Street is scheduled to close nightly between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Through October 21.
  • The westbound I-4 entrance ramp from Colonial Drive is scheduled to close nightly between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Through October19.
  • The westbound I-4 entrance ramp from Amelia Street is scheduled to close nightly between 10″00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Through October 19.
  • The eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Kaley Avenue is scheduled to close nightly between 9:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Through October 19.
  • The westbound I-4 ramp entrance ramp from Michigan Street is scheduled to close nightly between 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Through October19.
  • The westbound I-4 exit ramp to Michigan Street is scheduled to close nightly between 9:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Through October 19.
  • Division Avenue from Gore Street to Anderson Street is scheduled to close nightly between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Through October 20.
  • Amelia Street under I-4 is scheduled to close nightly between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. From October 20 – 25.
  • Colonial Drive under I-4 is scheduled to close nightly between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. From October 25 – 30.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may be necessary because of weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
