The City of Winter Park is periodically shifting the eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) exit ramp to Fairbanks Avenue from the end of January through spring of 2020.
The first shift will begin as soon as noon Friday, January 31, and end by 8:00 a.m. February 5. During active construction, motorists will not be able to access the right-hand turn lanes to Fairbanks Ave. While not officially part of the I-4 Ultimate project, these periodic ramp shifts will enable Duke Energy to relocate electrical lines and install them underground.
Here are the expected dates of the active construction phases:
- January 31 to February 5
- February 14-17
- February 28 to March 2
- March 30 to April 4
- April 15-17
- April 24-27
Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone. Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
