The Florida Department of Transportation reports that crews will be diverting traffic off eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. on July 10 and 11. The detour is necessary to accommodate demolition of a recently replaced overpass near Florida’s Turnpike, I-4

Either motorists will exit eastbound I-4 at Universal Boulevard (Exit 75A) or Kirkman Road (75B) and use Vineland Road and Conroy Road to reenter eastbound I-4 at the Conroy Road interchange.

In addition to diverting eastbound I-4 traffic, the I-4 onramp from northbound Kirkman Road (State Road 435) and eastbound I-4 exit ramp to Florida’s Turnpike (Exit 77) will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the nights of July 5-6, 8-9, 9-10 and 10-11.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
