708

The Florida Department of Transportation reports that westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) between Lee Road (State Road 423) and Fairbanks Avenue is shifting into a new temporary configuration as soon as Friday, January 24, to allow crews to safely construct the permanent westbound I-4 lanes.

To accommodate the traffic shift, westbound I-4 ramps at the Lee Road and Fairbanks Road interchanges will be closed continuously for multiple days:

  • The westbound I-4 entrance ramp from Lee Road will close as early as 10 p.m. Friday, January 24, and reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, January 27.
  • The westbound I-4 exit ramp to Fairbanks Avenue will close as early as 10 p.m. Friday, January 24, and reopen by 5 a.m. Wednesday, January 29.

Motorists should expect multiple lane closures on westbound I-4 from the night of January 24 until the afternoon of January 25. Drivers are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
